How TaB is Used: Scheduling
The general manager creates a work schedule each week using Apple iCal and publishes the information for all staff members via a WebDAV server. All employes are able to review their scheduled work time 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
How TaB is Used: Data Collection
All employees log their time daily using paper time cards. The restaurant manager or assistant managers check time cards for each employee against the schedule. If the time differs, the schedule is revised to reflect the true time worked.
How TaB is Used: Data Retrieval
TaB is setup to siphon information from the WebDAV server daily at 9 AM. The restaurant manager or assistant managers are notified when any employees have worked more than 80% of their scheduled time.
How TaB is Used: Reports
The restaurant manager or assistant managers are able to balance their workforce, making sure part-time employees do not work too many hours.
Time sheet data for each employee is exported at the end of each week and sent to the accountant, where the data is used to streamline monthly payroll.
Licensing Options and Cost
The Small Business Solution licensing option is best for this type of business, unless it is adopted by a corporate franchise, where the Enterprise Solution would be the best long term solution.
